10/6/10

10/4/10

Today is my last day of real training before the contest, i wasn't planning on going light exactly, i just was gonna have a low volume.

Log press- Worked up to the contest weight of 200, i got it for 4 reps in about 15 seconds without stopping, im shooting for 7 for the contest, i think i'll reach it with no problem.

Farmer carries- 220# for 100' total, turn at 50'. I'm not sure if we have a turn or not for the contest, but im shooting for <15s if there is a turn, and <12s if there isn't a turn.

Tire flips- 750# x10, definitely need to work on my conditioning.

One-arm Over-head DB press- Went light since my back was fried from the tire, went 60x4x2 and 80x4 really just trying to work on my push press and drop. I can't wait to give a shot at the 140# circus dumbbell.

This was a good last session before a contest, I'm very confident going into it. Probably some prowler pushing and sled pulling tomorrow, with some nice foam rolling along with lots of carbs for the rest of the week. i want to be 228 the night before the contest, and everything should run smoothly.
