So yesterday I benched with Ty and his crew. I was feeling alright, not bad, but not good. But my chest is pretty sore for the first time in a while. We warmed up with 135x10, 135x5, 185x5, but then we jumped up to 225, and i couldn't do that. So i dropped down to 205 to do my next three sets of doubles, which was still pretty tough. I'm still trying to work on my form, i guess i need to keep my elbows in. Maybe I'll get one of them to tape me so i can see what I'm doing wrong. I think i do that because my triceps are weaker than they should be, so maybe i'll do some additional work. But after that we did speed triples with 135 and the red mini's, which was still kind of tough for me. We then moved on to some triceps, then three sets of doubles on DB incline press. I was planning to start off with 80's, but i couldnt get them up at all. So after two sets of using the 70's I decided to try the 80's once more, and I got them up once, and i was pretty happy.

Other than that, my ankle has prevented me from doing any lower body stuff, so i havent seen sean in a while. But the swelling has gone done quite a bit overnight, so there is hope that i could lift with them on thursday.

Yesterday i also trained my first client, I was pretty nervous. It was a girl, and unfortunately i can't remember her name. It wasn't very hard, but it was fun and i could definitely see myself doing that kind of stuff for the rest of my life. I also got to keep the money from it too, 15 dollars for a half hour was pretty good. It came as a surprise too.

So today i decided to go lift, seeing as how i don't have much else to do. This time I lifted with Ty, Melissa (i learned her name, I'm hoping she reads this), and Jeff. We were working on our lockouts with some pin presses. After warming up, i did 255x3x3, then for the final set we were to drop some weight, then go til failure, and i got 225x8. I was pretty surprised that i could do it that many times, seeing as how i struggled to get 5 reps when warming up. I'm also about to order some wrist wraps because all of the pressing i've been doing has made my wrists hurt a little so hopefully that should help.

But me and Ty were messing around today wrestling, and i shot in on a high crotch and he decided to put me in a guillotine and make me tap out. And i said i could kick his ass in wrestling, you know, the normal kind of wrestling with out the submission bullshit. Now, i know my submissions pretty well, but its harder to get out when someones got 100 pounds on you as well as some other knowledge about technique. Yesterday, i also learned that Ty competed in MMA, having a pretty impressive 19-3 record. He said he studied Kempo, Jiu Jitsu and Boxing.

But otherwise i haven't seen sean since monday, but yesterday he posted "your father should hav left you on the side of his leg" on my facebook wall, and it seems like he misses me. And he finally has discovered the existence of this blog, and all he had to say about it was "wat is this! im not fat im stocky!!!!!". And yes, now that i think about it, stocky describes him better than fat.

My mom forced me to go to the doctors today for my ankle and it turns out that the doctor wants me to take it easy for 1-2 weeks, meaning that i am going to miss my camp next week. With this though, im not sure if i want to wrestle next year. I'd much rather just focus strongman and powerlifting. We'll see how that goes for me.

6/21/10-6/23/10

So on monday I had to wake up at 9 for the kids wrestling camp, and it wasn't very enjoyable. But as for the workout i had to endure during the lunch break, It was much less enjoyable. It was a straight hour of drilling and live wrestling. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with that, but I had to wrestle these guys from mount union, one of them being a two time all american. I also had sweat off just under 6 pounds during that hour too, i was 205.4 before and 199.8 after.

After that ass whooping, i went home and rested up, drank some afterglow and tried to take a nap. It wasn't very successful cause i only slept for a half hour. I was feeling alright though, i wasn't too tired. Then i headed up to the gorilla pit, and stopped at chipotle on the way. I got my usual, double wrapped chicken burrito with extra rice, corn, sour cream, and cheese. While devouring that heavenly, calorie packed meal, i finished up the Gorilla Pit's website after a weekend of procrastination. After i was done with that i was debating on if i wanted to stay and train before my baseball game, but after a little while i decided it wouldn't hurt. It was heavy deadlift day and i ended up pulling 375 for a double. I'm hoping to be at 400 for a single by the end of summer. When i was warming up though i scraped my shin with the bar, and started bleeding, and i jokingly said i'd rub the blood on his stuff, and he proceeded to say he'd piss on my face, as well as rub his balls on it haha.

We also took the picture for the blog on monday too. I'm the one standing with the foam roller, and little sean is the fatass tying his shoe. But as for other lessons i've learned from Sean, there are only two things in life that matter, and those two things happen to be Strongman and Skanks, or the two S's. Ironically, if i was to stick to this rule, i would have saved myself from an injury. The subject was brought up when i said i wasn't going to be able to do stones that day because of baseball. Later that night, i was running to first base and stepped in a hole and rolled my ankle, spraining it. But with the sprain i had to miss wrestling camp today and tuesday, as well as another baseball game tuesday night. im just hoping its better by my wrestling camp next week in michigan.

So I haven't trained with everyone since last tuesday, and I'm guessing I missed out on quite a bit of action from Little Sean. But as of right now, im talking to him on facebook, and its pretty funny. It began when i commented on his status stating "never thoughy i would say this but i cant wait for monday HEAVY DEADLIFTS AND HEAVY STONE MEDLEY WHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" and said "hell yeah, i cant wait either". He followed that up with "o ya you just wait" on his status, and then opened up my chat with "are you ready to smell death". Not a normal thing I'd expect to hear from anyone, but then again I wasn't talking to someone even relatively close to normal. After responding appropriately, he then stated such things as "tomarow wer5 guna kick ur ass so bad ur guna wish ur father left you trcling down thye side of his leg (translation: Tomorrow we're going to kick your ass so bad your going to wish your father left you trickling down the side of his leg)", "wer guna put you threw the butt fuck machine", "wer guna rape u", and "wer guna make u giv us blumpkins (for those of you who don't know what that is: blumpkin)". I guess all that action can take place of the time i missed during training.

But otherwise, i've been pretty busy with baseball and work and friends and what not. Like i said i haven't trained with the team since tuesday, but i've got some lifting in on my own. On thursday I deadlifted 255x10x4 and did some other core stuff, and on friday i was planning on lifting with Ty, the owner of Gorilla Pit, but he decided to take off on account of being a pussy. Haha, Just kidding (not really), he said something along the lines of being really beaten up some gay shit like that....actually here's his facebook post from that day "Ok, it's Friday...I am not lifting today, tomorrow or Sunday and next week will be all speed work. My body officially shut down on me...time to heal up from all the strains and aches and, scuse me, i just farted....". And that just goes to show that an intelligent, civilized meathead like myself is hard to come by. But instead i lifted with this other girl that normally trains with Ty, but i was never told her name. We did some Incline Dumbbell presses (70x5x5 i think) , floor presses (185x3x3), and some shoulder and tricep work. Afterwords I felt really good. I took an N.O. shot pre-workout, one of the guys called Powder gave it to me. I didn't wait the recommended half hour to lift, so i didnt begin to feel it until halfway through my DB presses. But it tasted delicious, even better than watermelon afterglow in my opinion.


As for this upcoming week, I'm just as busy, with a wrestling camp monday tuesday and wednesday from 10-1 helping out younger kids, Then shitty intern work at Gorilla Pit, Baseball Games at 8:15 on monday, and 6 on tuesday, and then work on Friday. and I'll have to find some time to train and have a social life in between all that, as well as finish up the Gorilla Pit website.

The First Post

Hey, this is Sean here, one of the two Seans at Gorilla Pit Strength Sports. I was told to start this blog to document the adventures of us two, as well as make fun of the other Sean (aka GED aka little Sean).

As for some backround of us two, we are pretty much opposites. He's short, I'm tall, He dropped out of highschool, I earn a 4.0 or higher, He's got a twisted sense of humor, Mine is pretty normal, I'm more reserved, He's unreserved. With this description he may seem like a terrible person, but don't get me wrong, he's a great guy. He's a hard worker and he can make me laugh.

Throughout this blog I am going to be posting stories of GED Sean, with a good chance of them being disgusting, yet humorous. I'll also be writing about my personal experiences with powerlifting and strongman, for I'm still a teenager and I'd like to compete in strongman throughout my life.

Currently I am on summer break in highschool, and I've been interning at the Gorilla Pit for about a month now. My experiences with little Sean have been limited to the past week and a half, but during that time period I've already experienced a lot of action. Mainly it's just been him making crude jokes about sticking things up places I'd never want to think about on another male.
