Happy 4th Everyone! I'm a couple days late, but that doesnt matter.

Training last thursday and friday went alright. Thursday was my first deadlift session since i had hurt my ankle, and i definitely noticed some effects of being inactive. Overall i felt really inflexible, making it hard to get my ass down for deadlifts.
Friday was bench day, and we ended up doing floor presses with red and orange mini bands. I wasn't feeling really good, and i didn't do very well. Not to add, It seems like my left arm is longer than my right so when i came down my right elbow would hit the ground first.

As for this week, i went back to training with the strongman crew, unfortunately they have a meet this week. So monday they decided to lift at 10 in the morning, and i was super tired, but it didn't show, because i still pulled 375 for a double, and did the 2nd stone with ease. i tried the 3rd stone, but it kept slipping out from my forearms. Hopefully i'll get it in the following weeks. On tuesday they weren't doing any but rolling and stretching and stuff, so i lifted with my two friends who are visiting from georgia, a baseball player and a football player, both wrestlers. We log pressed and did some other pressing and pulling. I ended up hitting 200# for my one rep max with log pressing, i was excited. I got a picture of it on my phone, but i need to find a way to get it on my computer.

As for stories from stocky sean, he told us about an incident with some fireworks that happened this weekend. He said he was with some friends in fairport, and they had some M80's or something along those lines, and they decided to go blow up and old, dead tree. After putting a few in and lighting them, the tree trunk was pretty much hollowed out he said. They left it alone after that, but not before someone noticed that the whole tree was on fire. He said they were trying to put it out, but they were using a little water hose which was about as effective as pissing on the damn thing. The fire department ended up being called, and they cut it down and put it out. Sean sure is a genius, and it just goes to show that there is no such thing as firework safety when you have someone like him around haha.

Otherwise, everyone was talking about the movie "Bigger, Stronger, Faster" a documentary about steroids, similar to Super Size Me. It was pretty informative, and like it was pretty humorous too. My favorite line was said by Greg Valentino, "Steroids are as American as apple pie", said while he was shoving a steak in his face, using his hands, not even a fork or knife. But as for my decision on steroids, I'm gonna wait and see where my natural talent and potential gets me, and if I haven't reached my goals, maybe i'll consider it but it probably won't be til a while down the road.

That's all for now, I'm going on a trip to colorado this weekend, so i won't be lifting for a while. Look for a post next week.
